I haven't watched either Pinocchio or Wizard of Oz yet. Sleeping Beauty wasn't a fair comparison, as it's a beautifully restored version. They include a DVD with the blu-ray, but mine was defective.

I'll do a comparison with Snow White - - since, heheh, they include a DVD with the Blu-ray, and a Blu-ray with the DVD.

I'm no help here, unless you want to be urged to splurge. I say get them all! I absolutely love each and every one of those.

One of my all time favorite movies is out today, in a beautiful bluray special edition - North By Northwest.

Yeah that's what I said about Cars, until I noticed that you could see every glitter fleck in Lightning's "pimped up" paint job in the Blu-Ray version.

In Ratatouille, you can see practically every scratch on the tiled floor in the kitchen... the textures are that clear.

I think it's worth getting the blu-ray (especially if you can find it for under $20).

The Night of the Hunter is coming out on Criterion Blu-Ray in November 2010.
