I got a great night's sleep. I'm going to see great friends today. I'm going to have a little productivity going on.

Today will be good.

Last time I visited with NA I told her of our goings on, and she said I should post more often in Soo... so here goes:

Our pup of 14 years was diagnosed with Laryngeal Paralysis a few years ago. It didn't bother her until this summer while she was in Colorado. She had an attack where she couldn't breath. With this condition the harder you breath, the more the voice box closes off, and the worse it gets. A viscious cycle is started that is hard to stop. Watching this happen to your dog is terrifying.
At 14, we know she doesn't have alot of time left, but I didn't want her to go this way, so we looked at our options. It turns out that there is a surgery that they can do to help the condition, called laryngeal tie-back surgery. I felt that she still had a good enough quality of life that it was worth the risk.
We took her to VCA All Care where they did the surgery. I was really impressed with the place. Everyone was friendly and understanding. In the waiting room, someone actually came by to check to make sure you were being helped, and would go back and check on the status.

She had her surgery yesterday morning, and the surgeon took the time to talk to me about her and how it went, I wish regular doctors had his bedside manner, it was impressive and comforting. The surgery went well. I have been allowed to visit her anytime we want. Her breathing sounds 100% better, and we hope to have her back home in a few days.

Congrats on a good nights' sleep! I'm glad you got the locks and code changed if they're being tested... Did you hear them? Or does it tell you when someone tries to get in?

That'd be scary.

I slept well, too.
But I woke up with a sinus headache.
The weather is to blame.
I blame the weather.
Mother Nature is an asshole.
:D

Otherwise, I agree today's a good day.
