Lash: what can I say, my appetite has increased ;)
Chipotle is a pseudo-Mexican chain owned by the McDonald's folks. They do burritos. My burrito was steak, rice, pinto beans, pico de gallo, corn salsa, sour cream and cheese. |
That sounds delish. I like the lime cilantro rice on mine. I love their corn salsa and have been inspired to make versions of it at home including a sort of corn salsa with chunky avocado - not quite a salsa and not quite a guac.
Damn. Now I'm craving that. Tonight for dinner was going to be teryaki chicken, rice and sauteed veggies - but someone else wants meatloaf so it may end up that instead. Whatever. |
Betty: what about a Teriyaki Chicken & Rice Meatloaf ?

I tried Chipotle recently, because I heard they were no longer McMexican. Still waaaay too much cilantro for my taste, though. (When I was growing up in New Mexico, we didn't need no stinkin' cilantro, though nowadays, even my old favorite haunts use it some - crank crank crank)
There's a local but fast-growing chain herei FL called Tijuana Flats that has a super Taco Tuesday special - two generous tacos, chips and a drink for 5 bucks - and that has become a weekly indulgence for me. (Very fresh and a hot sauce bar with dozens of exotic and in some cases dangerous pepper sauces.) I get one soft wheat tortilla with chicken, and a hard shell taco with beef, and a side of guacamole for an extra dollar. Now I can't wait for next Tuesday! (They're topped with fresh, not pickled, jalapenos, tomato, onion, lettuce, cheese and sour cream standard. Worth a visit next time you're in town.) |
T bone steaks Matt is going to cook on our indoor grill. Life is good.

meat loaf, mashed potatoes, salad and roasted brocolli.

I was going to make teriyaki beef and rice but the boys want bbq. So it looks like hamburgers and hot dogs for us.
