I have my reusable Trader Joe's bags and Pavilions bags (which they never seem to recognize when I bring them in). I keep those in the car trunk so I remember to bring them in the store. Then at home I have a ridiculous collection of shopping bags (the handle kind) and other assorted plastic bags which I'm incapable of throwing away unless they're full of garbage or something like that. And I'm trying to remember that I don't always need a bag if it fits in my purse or is something easy to carry like a book.

Yeah, I reuse the plastic bags like crazy. That whole dog ownership thing, heh.

You know it's bad when you decide you need to go grocery shopping because you're running low on bags.

I've done that.

Me too! :D

I use them all the time to take my lunch to work, or haul things around.

But at least when I do get so many of them I cannot keep them anymore, I can put them in the recycle bin so they don't go into the landfill.

So, dodged a bullet today, my group is not required for Jury Duty. Fingers crossed for a similar result when I check in tonight, as well.

I do not mind doing my civic duty, really, but right now it is sort of like that joke, Dear God, please make me good, just not now.

I knew a mess of people at SBC who called in to volunteer for jury duty.

Well, my store just started selling them last week, and already they seem to be out. I hope they order more. I only bought one. I hope they learn to pack them well.

I have one of those mesh ones I used to use, but the one time I took it into the Publix here they just about freaked out when I handed it to them. I decided it wasn't worth the trouble. Plus it's difficult to pack and awkward to carry. This is much better. Now I need to get a few more.

I have been using my own bags at the grocery store too! Does yours give you a credit? Mine gives 5 cents a bag. I use my Wegmans bags at the Hannaford. :D

The ridiculousness yesterday was that all my items fit in the Green Bag. Stupid guy put two items in a plastic bag, and then put that bag inside of the Green Bag. If truly green, the bag should have spit it out, but I guess that feature would make the bag cost more than 1.50, huh?

Didn't check my receipt to see if I got a credit. I don't think I got one.

What were the two items? Grocery clerks are trained that certain items are supposed to be bagged separately even if they all end up in the same bag.

I think I liked it better when I wasn't going to work.
