I must have wiped out half the flying bug population on my trip to Colorado. I took out a bunch of Juicy one's somewhere in Utah. A dozen hit the winshield and splat!!!

Yum!

What's the last thing to go through a bug's mind as he hits your windshield?

Spoiler:
His butthole!

The post-op pamphlet was right -- day three sucks. Pass the oxycodone, please.

So, today I permed my big sis's hair and generally slothed about- no make-up, jammies, the works. I haven't done that in ages! It felt great. I made breakfast for dinner- eggs, bacon, pancakes, boysenberry syrup.... Then, we watched the first two Star Wars movies, and it was fun listening to Tori gasp in horror as Luke and Han vied for Leia's attentions. " But he's her brother!" she said, as Luke and Leia swapped some spit. We still have to watch number three, so she's just sure that there is some twisted **** going on betwixt the sibs. I told her that they don't know what she knows, but she is still a bit freaked by it. We'll watch number three tomorrow.

Hmmmm......I killed a few, but was certainly no mass murderer.....maybe that explains the whole "democrat" thing. :)

Snobs of the animal kingdom. They come to you when they want something. No time for you unless you can do something for them.

They come into my back yard and poop. They leave their poop in my kids sandbox and in my sideyard, which is just kind of a waste land. I don't want to clean up cat poop. I don't own a cat. There is no way to stop them from doing this (and I don't want to hear "Put a lid on your sand box". Shouldn't have to, not possible anyway.). Animal control has said I can legally trap on my own property, but this is some kids pet. Don't care about the cat, frankly, but wouldn't want to upset the kid. The only other option I have is lethal to the animal (and certainly not legal), but again, I don't want to upset some neighbor kid.

Actually, the meanest thing I ever did to a cat was to put a ball of tape on each of its paws and put it on a linoleum kitchen floor. Pretty funny watching them try to get it off. And harmless to the animal. This was in 7th grade.

Today I'm going to get super busy. Lots of yard stuff. I'm going to go to Orchard Suppy Hardware (OSH) and Target to buy a ton of flowers and yard stuff. I also need to buy some "fix-it" supplies for my home project list. This is my week to get busy. Maybe I'll start on a closet after that.

Right now I'm still recuperating from yesterday's catering job.

Soooo, I got hit with a burst of energy this evening and decided to excavate the family room, aka Tori's Playroom. (One of several). We're talking layers and layers of toys, art stuff, Pokemon cards, American Girl stuff, etc. Extreme mess, and one that I had been avoiding for quite some time. Now there is a small pile of toys that we will classify and file away tomorrow- but I took a large garbage bag out to the trash bin, and I am feeling rather pleased with myself. Tori arranged all our DVD's and videos by order of importance- Disney first, then New Line, then the other stuff. She even dusted! Well, sort of. She stood well away from the target and sort of winged the dustcloth at it, being careful not to get any dust fuzzies on her person. Her's a princess, ya know.

I think I'm starting to snap out of whatever weird sort of slump I've been in these past few weeks. I may even tackle the outside windows tomorrow. If the damned bees don't get me, that is....
