So we spent the afternoon shopping for graduation and father's day gifts. Mostly successful, although we initially went out looking specifically for a gift for my dad and came back with gifts for everyone but my dad. Oh well, that's what the internet is for. We also indulged a small detour into FYE, a music and DVD store, where they were having a pretty decent sale. I got the Simpsons season one dvd set for $20 (and it's got a rebate for another $5), and a Janes Addiction CD for $10. Then I saw a "used video games 3 for $20" sign, so I picked out 3 used XBox games. Turns out that is was only super secret special mysteriously labled games that were 3 for $20. Lame. Oh well. Saved me $20.

I think I'm gonna watch me some Simpsons commentary now.

We did the usual "Saturday Cheer Practice Thing"..then headed to Phoenix to scout some areas we'd most like to live in. Just driving around stuff...decided on the Chandler/Queen Creek area...

Then as a reward for the kids/punishment for us we went to Rainforest Cafe!
Surprisingly, our food was actually good! We had the quesadillas as an app...they were wonderful! On this soft, squishy flat bread kinda stuff..not a tortilla...very good! And John had the Buffalo Chicken Salad (didn't know buffalo lived in the Rainforest! Ha!) and it was so good! All the salad ingredients were chopped up smaller than normal and tossed with the dressing...it was really really good. So good that we picked the chicken OUT and ate the salad first!

Then we meandered around the mall abit..then came home...I'm dead tired!

Went to my sister-in-law's graduation ceremony today and then to her surprise party that my brother planned. Party was good, although I didn't know most of the people there and I'm not good at inane polite chatter. But there was food.

Ceremony was annoying. Poured rain. It's June. A few weeks ago it was 90 degrees and people were freaking out. Now it's 50 and pouring. Ish.

Didn't get much homework done so I'll have a gob of pages to read tomorrow.

Finally figured out how to print photos from the computer. Decided that before I decide whether to get a new digital camera or a zoom lens or neither I'd better see what the current prints look like. It's been 2 years and we had yet to print a single photo.

So, I'm back from Japan and just a tad loopy, took a nap this afternoon we'll see what else the jet lag does. Still amused by the fact that if someone asked me where I was Sunday Morning, I'd have two ligitimate answers - gotta love the date line. Glad I had the forsight to include tomorrow as a avacation day, got lots of pictures and swag to go through - and that sleep thing too.

I just pre-ordered the Foo Fighters new CD, 'In Your Honor', from Amazon. It's scheduled for release tomorrow. Hopefully they send it out today.
