Girl Scout: "Wanna buy some Girl Scout Cookies"
Wednesday Addams: "Are they made from real Girl Scouts?"

The trip is over, except for the unpacking.

Overall, very good learning experience, excellent networking, and a LOT of good drinks.

Why are people afraid to just say "no thank you?"

Which, despite my facetiousness above, is all I ever say.

Because when I say "no thank you" they usually take it as an invitation to ask again and try different tactits. It's just easier to tell them I don't have any cash on me.

That typo conjures disturbing visuals.

Does one wear a granola bra for tactits?

I've figured out my Mardi Gras costume! I'm so happy about it finally jelling in my brain, and to actually have 54 of the 60 required components.

The city charter says the mayors office is allowed 60 take home cars (cars that employees can take home and drive back/forth to work). They have something like 5x that many, and they're SUPPOSED to respond to the Inspector General's report about it by today (not sure if they're actually going to make that deadline).

Unless they respond in some stupid way (ALWAYS a possibility around here!), I'm making a sandwhich board out of foam core, but it will be shaped like a baseball diamond home plate and edged in black duck tape (yes, a k not a t) - and have 60 matchbox/hotwheel cars attached to it. My 'verbal' catch phrase will be "This is what 60 looks like, Mr. Mayor" and hopefully I'll be able to get in his line of sight when he rides in the Zulu parade - before I head to the Quarter with some friends.

We've never done the Quarter before on Mardi Gras day, and we're not planning on staying late or hanging out on Bourbon street, but it should still be fun.

I need to go to one more Walmart to find those last 6 cars!
