And that's IF my clients even want to bother.

I have invested so much time and effort into this deal, and was getting SO close to making it happen, only to have this happen. It's very demoralizing.

Any chance you can negotiate with the bank to add a/c?

Hey Lisa, did you get hurt at work?

I need a shirt that says "Guess what? I didn't get the job."
It would cut down on alot of needless conversation.

So, apparently, last night I was so tired, clueless, stressed at out of it that I posted in the toothbrush thread about looking for jobs.

OH well...

(copied over)

It's hard to look for a decent job while living almost 1,000 miles away. :(

I'm trying to do my research and make my contacts for my next trip to Utah, and it's daunting. I'm getting the feeling that it may come down to my taking a job I'm not in love with, and getting into a more specific search once I'm out there.

Ugh.

Life, be easy?

Look at it this way, taking a job is not a life sentence. It is always easier (at least in my experience) to hunt for a job while you have one. So if job #1 is not ideal, there will be another, no question.

Focus on Friday. Focus on the weekend. That has become my mantra. Too much to get into - but lets just say, working in the relocation industry when the housing market has tanked is not a good thing.

Add to that needing to move when the rental market has skyrocketed because the housing market tanked.

Focus on the weekend. It gets me through the week.

Has the rental market really skyrocketed?

Yes. In the 7 months I have been living with my friend rent jumped astronomically. People aren't moving, there is no longer a surplus of apartments and landlords/management companies are charging accordingly.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope it settles down soon.
