Oy vey!! Such posts!! 'Fathers' saying the most stupid things {is he so happy for himself that he is having relations with this ho?}, daughters not realizing the distance/day of the week dealio {probably they told her there were better seats for the Th?}, broken toes {ouch!!!} vacations and work deadlines {yay!!} and hotter here than in Vegas???

Well, that last one, my daughter went to a wedding there and I am happy for her then that she isn't dying in this heat as we are. I worked this morning and when I left it was unbelievably hot!! A couple of intersection lights were not working, makes me worry about the Son who hasn't had his license very long, I hope he pays attention.

The Hubster and the Boy went to Borders for an iced coffee and lounging. I fell asleep. Woke up too early and enjoyed a nap.

I'd love to see your pictures, you returning cruisers, when you get something put together. :0)

Not exactly something he should be talking to a kid about...

In my world, I fell apart again in the heat. Apparently I can't bike if it's hot. That sucks. Today wasn't even that difficult. I actually bailed on the last part of the ride and Shawn picked me up with the car. Bleh. Not what I had in mind.

Yay the power is back!

Just as my battery was about to die.

I lied. Bye bye power!

Sugar free Jello instant pudding is quite tasty.

Okay, Anthony Bourdain has made me want to go to Java. I can find all sorts of info online about his shows/destinations, but naturally, nothing about where he stayed in Java. But his hotel had individual cabins along the river and breakfast was delivered by boat... looked awesome.

It got up[ to 100.2°F at my house in Garden Grove today. Felt like about 104°F at DtD. It was definatly Death Valley hot!!!

It was 68 degrees at work, all day - until I stepped outside, which wasn't for long.

Mousey Girl 09-03-2007 09:39 PM

It was only around 103 here today. Luckily it is going to be in the low 90s next weekend.

Unbelievable, these temps. And, we have to conserve power {do you guys up to my north, RStar?, MG?} so I am doing housework right now in the a.m. when I would rather not. So, I wake up, start working {start getting hot right away}, including the dryer in the garage {hot!!} and I will go on being hot all day 'cause when I'm done, it will be hot outside, period. No chance to enjoy any coolness.

I want your job, CoasterMatt. Well, no, I want your temps, indoors. My thermostat already reads 80 inside.

I think the entire state is under a power warning.

We lost power several times yesterday - but there was nothing on the SCE site, and sirens blaring so perhaps there was an accident that took out a pole.

Our office doesn't feel as freezing. Maybe they got a clue and turned it up a bit to save energy.
