Nothing. The library has a large exhibit space and Disney had need for a large exhibit space and they both said "hey, this could make us some money."
|
Oh, searching around a bit, both Ronald Reagan and Walt Disney testified befoer the House Un-American Activities Committee on October 20, 1947. They were the friendly witnesses on Communist infiltration of Hollywood. The next day they (HUAC, not Disney and Reagan) started sending people to jail for refusing to testify.
But I suspect that does not get a prominent placement in the exhibit. |
Neither of Walt's infamous nervous breakdowns made it into the Disney Family Museum in San Francisco, so I'm guessing you're right about the red-baiting stuff.

^ Movie poster related, but not Disney related, and Jesse adjacent - Last night, in Silver Lake, across Parkman from the Cafe Tropical, on the side of the drug store, I saw a series of ParaNorman posters, gummy stuck, loosely by the corners, over the permanently wheat-pasted posters, apparently with the intention of being unstuck and taken home. After agonizing over whether I should take one, or all, of them home, I remembered that I'm moving and have never displayed any of the many posters I already own.
Parkman and Sunset. I haz commas. |
Wow, some great stuff there! Couple Robin Hood cells I'm really tempted by!
