Some of them are still around .... but judging by the ones who were at the El Cap Q&A, not many are still sentient.

The rest of the caps look great, Isaac. But since many colors are pretty, I always judge it by the steps. Thanks for including that cap. I'll certainly be getting the DVD regardless.

You are going to get the blu-ray, right? I hear it comes with a free DVD.

I've heard that too.

The first edition Blu-Ray has a copy of the movie on DVD taped to the front of the case (under the slipcover). I blogged about it on pocketsymphony.com.

yeah, and if you buy it, don't rip the dvd off of the cover. I don't have it in front of me but it isn't inside the case but rather in a paper holder type thing. Like single cds' might come in?

i'm just sayin'...

Yes, but it was blues and greens and purples at the El Cap screening. I am so confused.

Me too!! So Isaac what color were the steps in 1959?? ;)

I'm still not sure if I want to buy it again. I already have it on video & special edition dvd.

My mom saw it @ the Lido theater in Newport Beach when she was 6. I'll ask her. ;)

The DVD is worth buying. The only complaint I have is one bonus feature on the 1997 Widescreen VHS release has STILL not appeared on any of the Sleeping Beauty DVD releases.

The 1997 Widescreen VHS release was really good because there were no commercial before the movie, it was in letterbox format, it was fully restored, and it had bonus features after the film. One of those bonus features was an excerpt from The Mickey Mouse Club show, in which Helene Stanley shows the Mousketeers how she does the modeling for Sleeping Beauty. She lip synched to a demo version of Once Upon A Dream & danced w/ Mousketeer Bobby, while wearing a Briar Rose costume.

For some reason this clip still has not appeared on any of the DVD releases. I hope it does next time.

JeezOcriminy, how many more times will Disney re-release it in my lifetime and how many more will I have to buy? ;)

seven

Well, I bought it today ... hopefully for the last time, even though that extra is not part of the package. I don't care much about the extras anyway. I watch them once. Sleeping Beauty, I've seen nearly 30 times. Love It.

Thanks everyone for the tip about the DVD being included in the blu-ray. I would certainly have purchased both, and the blu-ray was expensive enough on its own.
