I was going to make teriyaki chicken for dinner but when I went out to grab the chicken it was gone. Then my brain kicked in and thought " Hmm, maybe that awful smell has something to do with the missing chicken!". Sadly I was right. Never let the teenager help put away groceries! The garage smells like something died.....and it was my dinner!

I guess we'll have fresh pineapple, rice and han bao for dinner tonight :(

Betty: Butter chicken you can get ready-made in the deli section at Trader Joe's. It's quite good, check it out!

Wow! Both those sound great. Did the put the carmelized white chocolate on something? Or just stick in a spoon and go for it? :D

We had aspirations, but in the end we couldn't resist just spooning it out of the container.

That said - this stuff would be DYNAMITE spread over Scottish shortbread. NOM NOM NOM.

My first visit to Canter's deli tonight. Had the cheese steak.
Yum!

(Since this concerns something that was intended to be part of dinner, I'm posting it here...)

I inadvertently discovered an interesting new frozen treat tonight. I made Jello and put it in the freezer to speed up the congealing. I was only going to leave it in there for less than an hour. Well.... I forgot it until just now. After 6 hours it has turned into a big bowl of an interesting rubbery icee like stuff.

Surprisingly, it's quite tasty!

(And yes, I know about Jello Pops. But those are different.)
