Seeing Kevy post reminded me...

It is high time that we here in the bacon thread take a few moments to recognize the accomplishments of Bacon's first cousin: Beef Jerky.



Sure it's technically not a cured pork product but done right it is pretty darn good and has many similarities.

I picked up a few packs of very tasty high quality Beef Jerky during my recent visit to pikes place market. I'm having to carefully ration them to prevent a full on carnivorous feeding frenzy.
