You're dying to hear about the IRS interview, aren't you? Well, don't you worry, my little goslings, Pru is here to tell all.

I hate interviews with poor interviewers. It was 30 minutes of stock questions that could be found in any standard "how to interview" guide. And because they were just using a list of stock questions without any real thought put into it, the questions tended to be a bit repetitive.

But, they are the first employer to come bearing gifts. I now have at my desk a tote bag and water bottle proudly sporting the IRS logo and some inspiring words about how great they are.

Totally bizarre.

Hopefully the interviewer saw how your brilliance shines through in spite of crappy questions. :)

And yay for free stuff!

gifts for an interview? thats a first for me

seems a lot of public sector interviews are like that. something about fairness in selection requiring all the initial interviews to be the same blah blah. so yeah, chances are good it was totally scripted. it probably also speeds up the process a bit on the initial run through if there are a large number of candidates

however an interview is an interview...but I never got any prizes for them...dang it.

nice going

Are they gifts?

Or are they income?

Discuss.

You. Suck.

I was thinking during the interview that I hope they don't ask me about any basic tax principles (which they didn't, as they were too busy asking me what in my past suits me to work in an office environment    ) because I seemed to have forgotten them.

Now, however, it's all coming back. Damn you!

Morrigoon 09-27-2007 01:47 PM

Damn, what kind of GED interview question is that? Do they have any openings for people who majored in econ? ;)
