Agh!! I've been given a few hours' notice to write a darned bio on myself so a show's producer can submit it to a big Hollywood firm tomorrow, because he'd like me to handle the full production once it's contracted.
I'm totally freaking out. The business is getting much bigger faster than I ever expected. I mean, crap, I figured I'd be doing weddings and such for at least a few years. And now, we're talking mainstream television, with me handling just about everything. Apparently, it really is about who you know... |

I love that ad. Reminds me of the difference between a corporate rat racer and an entrepreneur.

I'm still scared ****less.
The producer told me to "stretch it" a bit, but I'm just so damned honest about what I've done and haven't done. This is a big challenge for me. I don't want to be one of those Hollywood primadonnas that act like they know everything, throwing their own names around. So far, the first draft really touches on my field experience and current projects. But, it really lacks some luster. I'm trying to figure out how to make myself sound more exciting. I really hope this show gets signed though. I'll earn about $15K per episode, and there are already 26 episodes written. Doing the math, I'd be a really, really, really, really, really, really, really, happy camper. ;) |
