And when you're not with your coven you're with your cult.

Damn. Those pesky other championship banners just ruin everything!

No, I recently left the cult, and I don't want to be cited for perjury. ;)

The owner just gave me the rundown of everything that is scheduled, and we can still pick up the keys on Thursday morning. However, the cleaning crew won't be finished until about noon. So, I figure I'll just wait it out until Ken gets off work that evening, and we'll start the haul.

From the post about Susan getting out of a particular trial:

Quote:

The good news is that she has been excused as of Tuesday. While she did not (and of course would not) lie on the questionnaires, during the interview, she certainly made no effort to conceal certain aspects. Of course she wore a dress that allowed her tattoo to be clearly seen (it runs up her right leg from her foot to currently just below her knee). And she made sure to mention that she practices Wicca and often meets with her Coven (I think it was a question about religion).
Can you get a visible tattoo between now and the reporting date?

Stupid Car Tricks

Killing some time looking at the latest on Yahoo News and came across this item:

2008 Lamborghini Reventón

The whole article is here, but I was most amused by this (emphasis mine):
Quote:

The interior is as special as the exterior. Instead of the stock instrumentation, you'll find functional 3D displays including a g-force meter. By pressing a button, instruments can be changed to a classic analog readout.
I think I need a 650 bhp car that includes a G-Force Meter!!!

Maybe a fake one. I just need to find one that's a large cannabis leaf, and that might do the trick. ;)

MG- I'm glad to hear that Chicken seems to be doing better. I'm sure Pooh did help chase off the hawk! Good doggie! A basset is big enough to discourage even a large bird.

DP- I hope your move comes soon for you, just to have it done and all settled. Good luck on the jury duty thing. Last time I got called I was dismissed quickly- it was a DUI case but no defense attorney wants me in that courtroom. I didn't even have to plan my escape!

You are the master!!! :snap: Ok, how do you do it? ;)

One of the things they ask you is how you feel about DUI. I feel quite strongly about it. One of my high school classmates was injured badly by a drunk driver. One of my coworkers has a brother who was killed by one. I kicked my father-in-law out of the house for doing it.

Implication: I vote for jail time for drunk drivers. So... unless you've got very good evidence that your client was actually not drunk... they've got a problem. I don't care that "nothing happened" during the alleged drunk driving tour. It's something I think one should simply not do. Ever.

That last call to jury duty was for a narcotics DUI case. This was of course after Jentina had lived here, and worked in a pharmacy. Did she talk about drugs? Yes. So I got bounced out pretty quickly. I was glad to get out of that one, because it would have screwed up a weekend of work.

On the whole, I'm happy to serve on a jury, just please let the timing be good. I've never been asked though; the screening filters me out. I could get dragged into other kinds of trials, like murder or carjacking, things they'd ask me to be neutral about.

Lunch today was from TallyRand and in my to go box was a club sandwich and for desert they included a cupcake with frosting. Along the way, the delivery person must have dropped min because the frosting got everywhere.
:D
