I should be in bed, but I'm too excited to sleep.

We sign the lease in the morning, and then I can get the keys at noon!

I already have a few bags of essentials ready - toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning stuff, our bathroom counter decor (gotta take some kind of decor on the first run), and our new kitchen wall shelf. I'm gonna have some fun tomorrow! :D

I feel like a shlub right now. I have not been sleeping well. We leave for DLR at some point tomorrow morning and I haven't really even started to pack. Tonight I will be working on Nick's jacket, but doing it over at my mom's. I don't really want to go over there, I have too much to do.

Nick seems to think that we need to get up at 4 am and be on the road before 6. I am thinking I will be happy if we are on the road somewhere around 10. With traffic considerartions that would put us at DLH by 2.

Why is it always the one that can sleep in the car who wants to get on the road at 4:00am?

I'm not sure, but when you figure it out, please let me know.

Ok, I feel like I got something accomplished this morning. I filled a tupper thingy with margarita to drink as soon as we get into our room tomorrow. I semi-cleaned out my car, I found and am charging my camera, I changed out my purse and I now have a nice stack of clothes awaiting the suitcase.

On a hawkish note, The Old People were running errands yesterday, on my side of town and Mom spotted a very large red-tailed hawk in the air. The curator/falconer that I talked to had told me they typically have a 3 mile range. The probability of it being the same bird is very high. She said it was huge. With her eyesight it would have had to have been big for her to see it. I also heard it yesterday afternoon.

What kind do you like B? I'll make sure to bring a box for your farewell party!

LOL, I actually don't care much for candy... I am just competitive.

On another note, after much discussion, I am moving at the beginning of 2008. I am going to try and leave AFTER New Year's Eve, because I really want to do it one more time at NA & €'s house... but I have to be mindful of the schedule of someone who is supposed to be helping me. I think he'll have lots of time off, and hopefully can be here on the 1st. I may even move on the first after the all-nighter... That would be awesome... or not.

:( (Bah. I've been trying to block that from my reality.)

Although, I can just imagine a future thread titled, "Utah Swanking!" with listed activities like "storming the temple", "learn how to ski without spilling your martini", and "Sundance film festival screening (now with bacon!)". ;)

visible MOJO for you DP

I do think a Sundance Swanking (with Bacon) is definitely in order! If the dollar keeps plummeting, my Paris trip will have to wait until I save 2 times the $$ for 2009!

Sundance road trip... it'd be too damn fun. :D
