Good luck DP and make sure you stock plenty of Dole Whip mix in the new digs!

Don't wear yourself out moving boxes and crates!

Way cool on the roomba!

I am <<<SO FVCKING HYPER>>> right now :coffee: :snap:  :snap:

Hehehe... Haven't had Starbucks in a couple weeks, and since I'm laying off Coke for my stomach's sake, my caffiene tolerance is WAY down. And since I just found I had a free drink coupon for Starbucks, I picked up a Venti Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino at the end of my lunch. I'm more than halfway through and literally bouncing off the walls, it's awesome.

This is the Cindy version of being sh*tfaced :D

What I'm doing right now:

Sitting at the old place, because I showed up at the new one, and could hear a band saw buzzing, and the lights on. I walked around the corner, and found the construction foreman on our porch, cutting some of the flooring, with crap littered all over. I poked my head inside, and the washer/dryer are still sitting in the box in the dining room, the blinds are still sitting next to the windows, the kitchen light panels are still missing, and the cleaning lady was confined to the kitchen, just trying to keep the sawdust wiped off the counters. The place is a disaster.

The foreman said, "Come back in two hours, and we'll be finished." I took a look around and replied, "I'll be back after six tonight. I can't keep wasting my time like this. And, that doesn't mean slow down, because you're going to need all six hours to finish."

Poor cleaning lady! If I were her I'd walk or call the owners and insist on a time to come back - how can she do a good job with the job not done?

But T, delays or no delays, when it's done, it'll be ALL NEW STUFF :)

The poor gal was hovering near the back of the kitchen, and profusely apologizing to me. I told her not to worry if she misses a spot or two, because I've got my entire cleaning arsenal in the back of my car anyway.

Well, mostly. They decided not to do the granite counter tops, nor replace the stove and dishwasher. The present ones are in good shape, but still...

The flooring looks gorgeous though. It's cherry finish. :)

But, I'm still rather annoyed at the delays. It's a damn good thing we have our current place until the 31st. This has totally blown my organized schedule to hell and back.

I think what's happened is this is owned by just a couple investors, and I think they've got one too many properties for them to handle on their own. They really need to hire additional office help or something, because it's an absolute cluster**** of disorganization.

Enjoy your trip!!! :) I'm kind of a morning person, so I second Nick's recommendation to get going early. :)

**hugs** I hate it when somebody beats me, too. In academic things, anyway, as that's what I'm good at.

Ha! I giggled at "learn to ski without spilling your martini". :) And at the bacon.

One thing I'm really looking forward to - my parents are getting us a Roomba as a housewarming present. It should be fun watching the cats run in terror, and it will be quite lovely having a consistently clean floor. :snap:

I hope your luck is better than mine. While it didn't scare either dog or the cat, keeping the floor cleared enough to use it was something of a challenge for me.

MMMm..... pumpkin spice .... one of my *favorite* things about fall.

I just took the first of 2 tests in my Sociology theory class (all essay answers) and I feel pretty good about it. A couple of the kids in the class hoped I would give less than my best so not to bust the curve but can I help it if my writing skills are good? :)

blueerica 10-11-2007 02:15 PM

GRRR! I am getting soooo irritated by my classmates right now. Seriously, acting like a 12 year old doesn't help the class go faster and frankly, it's not even funny.

Shut the FVCK up a$$holes... seriously.

Why can't they just skip class more often. Jerkfaces.

T- so sorry to hear about the delays in the construction and the lack of a few new appliances. Hopefully everything is good-to-go soon.

And on an unrelated note, it is a bad idea to leave me unattended with a bag of Harvest Mix. WHEEEEEEEEEEE SUGAR!
