This is hilarious... I was watching TMZ and heard my dad's name. No, it's not my dad. Yes, it's his name.

Thanks for letting me rant.

I figure at least realizing my actual situation will allow me to go forth and start writing up the proposal by myself. ^&@%!!!

Excellent. Enjoy that. Ps: Despite the silly safety lables, these make great kindling.

Ditto, what Moonliner said!

Very cool on the java-logs, never heard of them. Of course, our fireplace is not really working, needs to be inspected and repaired. But we can smell the brimstone when the neighbors downstairs use theirs. Cough Cough!

I think I've got it worked out to a tee now... using Southwest Airines Vacations, if you depart on January 8th, stay 6 nights, and return on the right flight on the 14th, you can do Florida (including tickets) for either $1600 or just under $2100 for two people (depending on if you want to stay at All-Star or Port Orleans).

Are you intentionally planning your vacation to coincide with marathon weekend (January 12-13)?

Brimstone?

Just how far downstairs ARE theses neighbors?

The apartment just below us first floor (we're second). There is a crack somewhere, obviously in the fireplace. As an aside, they are also the worst PITA tennants in the building. My CPU sits on the floor on a rug, they complain about the hum keeping them awake (they're in bed by 9 every night).

I need to prepare myself, we're having rain now, it's getting chilly and they will be burning the fireplace a lot.
