Doing the math, it looks like the Nats are going to need a little help winning percentage-wise. By which I mean Old Testament, real wrath of God type stuff. Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling! Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes, The dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!

Doing the math ESPN says the Athletics have a 76% chance of making the playoffs. I'm ok with that.
According to them, the Nats have 13 times the chance (1.3%) of making the playoffs as the Giants (0.1%) |
Too me a moment of head scratching to figure out how Pittsburgh and St. Louis can both be over 90% being in the same division. Derr
