you can keep your guac from turning if you press some plastic wrap directly against the surface so that there is no air between it and any of the guac.

delish that guac, I tell ya what.

extra cilantro please.

hmm. Might there be any swank in bacon guacamole? Might be worth testing out I suppose. Some crumbled up bacon mixed right in. Hmm. Hmm.

We've tried it with Guac out for the eating. There was a noticeable difference in browning, albeit not dramatic.

Maybe I should contact Mythbusters on this?

You could, but they'd be repeating efforts.

I have done it and it is good.

I also like bacon crumbled into egg salad (eggs, mayo, yellow mustard, ONLY!), or sprinkled on devilled eggs.

Yesh- I know the purpose to the lemon- but sometimes it is so strong that all you get is citrus and the lovely texture and taste of the avacado is lost- and can't be redeemed.

Um, beyond that I eat it so fast there is not going to be any left to turn brown. :)

I remember bacon.

*sigh*

I can't have avacado; I'm allergic to them.

I had bacon with breakfast today. We stopped at the Ruby's in SJC on the way down here. I contemplated having the Bacon Chedder Burger, but didn't.

I love tomatos. I'll eat them whole, sliced, diced, any way but cooked. Cooked tomatos are nasty.

Avacado is amazing and now I want some Chipotle guac.

Ghoulish Delight 01-12-2007 05:53 PM

Cooking is the only way to neutralize the evil found in all tomatoes.
