Yeah, I did a little skip-ahead reading, too. Not enough, apparently. I couldn't get a handle on what the Jack'n'Jill play was supposed to be expressing, so the scat ooobly-ooo stuff at the beginning was just the icing on this rat deserting the sinking ship.


I don't know why it didn't occur to me before, but I can't do any kind of dramatic reading if I have zero clue what's going on, or especially what kind of character I'm playing. So, with apologies to the cast of Words, Words, Words, I missed most of the performance skimming ahead to the roles I'd been assigned.
