Eff ya!

We finally got to dance in dance class last night! :D It's quite a challenging "beginner" class - he teaches very quickly, and we learned all five arm and foot positions, shanay turns, half turns in a highly confusing directional change combination, and even a jump, besides a TON of other stuff. It's very fast-paced, so I hope I can retain most of it. More than a few of the younger women were in tears and very frustrated, so I hope they don't give up.

But, I actually kept up for the full two hours without needing to stop. Go me! And, I still had enough energy to walk just under two miles last night with my honey too. :)

However, this morning.... I don't want to move. At all. And, ibuprofen is my best friend.

Two hours seems like a long time to dance, I think I'd have been needing the ibuprofen half way through!

It's snowing here......again.

I almost did - the "warm up" routine (way beyond just stretching, by the way) was about 45 minutes, and I thought I was going to die, but he pressed through to teaching combos and such... at that point, it seemed that every muscle of mine was working and warm, and there was no more pain. I'm thinking he's a very wise instructor. :)

I wanted to sign up for an additional dance class that he teaches on Wednesday nights, but unfortunately, it conflicts with an ongoing appointment that I have until the end of the month. :(

I found the statistics bar at the top amusing. No surprise to see that the F word and the S word are the top two. Now, let's see if you all can Twitter the "C word" out of its last place slump. :D

Awesome! Yeah, I know how you feel, my dance teacher teaches pretty quickly too and makes us do some stretching stuff that's kinda painful, (and one of them made a big bruise on my hip,) and whatnot.
And I have dance class tonight, so I'm going to see if I can get though with the dance moves. I sure hope so! Lol.

You can do it! :) I think it can take a little while to catch on. But, I'm betting after we see the same things over and over a bit, we can do it. :snap:
