So it was a beautiful day in Chicago today. I got out early fiom one of my sessions and just sat at the pier and watched the sail boats. I could stand to do more of that.

That's true. :)

I spent the day at Jordan's Furniture near Boston. It's like Disneyland for furniture...

Then I assembled a coffee table and 2 end tables.

Then I started setting up my fish tank.

Then I played 'Kingdom Hearts' for an hour... maybe two...

Then I did a job search.

Then I downloaded music... from iTunes.

Then I ate a big sandwich.

Then I watched Margaret Cho on the Sundance Channel.

And now I type this.

Pretty fun day.

:D

I went to Chuy's tonight...we had 2 b-days to ce;ebrate...mine and a close friend's. All it did was make me realize that since I have not been goigng out regularly, I have turned into a light weight drinker and am now sick. No more alchohol for me for another month.

wendybeth 09-20-2005 10:48 PM

Mousey GIrl, is it your b-day? It's not on the calender, girl! If it is, Happy Birthday! If it's not, Happy Un-Birthday!:snap:

Mousey Girl 09-20-2005 11:29 PM

It was the 10th. I took it off the calandar a while ago. Thank you for the well wishes!

I was able to eat and drink some milk, so I am feeling much, much better now.

I think tonight was a combination of not eating all day and then trying to drink like I used to...it all caught up with me.

So - my conference is finally over and I'm taking a break before I head out to the airport. Chicago was a lot of fun as usual, but now I'm anxious to go home. Unfortunately, I still have to go into work tomorrow but the weekend will come soon enough.

Sooooo, I got home late last night from Chicago (1:50 by the time I got home). The cats were happy to see me even after I dragged big scary luggage into the house. However, I realized it was street sweeping tomorrow and the CRV was parked in the driveway. I drove around looking for a spot for the Mercedes but there was nothing. So, I did what every other red-neck, Mercedes-driving gal would do....I parked on the lawn next to the CRV. Car was still there this morning and I moved it to a more respectable spot. I sure hope the neighbours got a good laught this morning. ;)

So now I feel slightly bad. Today someone put up a flyer about a missing kitty that sounds like the stray we caught for my mom's friend. If it's their cat I'm sorry. But I'm also not sorry because the cat was super skinny and not for lack of appetite. Even now reports are that he eats all the time and follows the human around because he's starved for companionship. So if it is their cat, they weren't taking very good care of it. And we did check with the management and if it is their cat they didn't register it, which is a violation of the rules. And they left it outside in the rain (it wanted to come in.) So it either isn't theirs or they're lousy caretakers. But I still feel a little bad. (But seriously -- the cat was nearly emaciated.)

Prudence, please don't feel bad. IMO, there is nothing to feel guilty about - i believe you did the right thing.;)
