I love Guitar Hero. I'll join the club. I had the library system purchase it so I can do teen programs! lol

Damn... I mean, 3 and a half years, and I'm down to 5 weeks.

Must. Not. Panic.

As previously stated, this is the time to start feeling relief and celebration!!!

RE: Guitar Hero

Slash was on the Mark & Brian show this morning. One of the things he talked about was his work on GH3. It is funny that he, so far, has not been able to get past whatever steps he needs to to get to his own solo. I would love to be there when goes up against himself.

If I make it through the day, it will be a miracle.
So very tired.

How does the writer's strike affect you?

I was recently moved to the motion picture department of our facility, so the strike will not affect our department directly. The studios have stockpiles of feature scripts.
But our TV department is directly affected. I hear that in January or so, the shortage of scripts for TV shows will halt many productions. (Leno, Letterman and Stewart are going to reruns right now.)
So, our company may do some shifting/laying off of employees to compensate for the lack of TV work. Which means, I could be in trouble being a recent hire. Seniority may show me the door.

But we'll see what happens. I'm optimistic.

So last night's load-out which should have taken less than 4 hours instead took nearly 6 and involved much moving of loose lumber (3 times) and loading and re-loading the truck a bit.

Can't you people figure out how to pack your own dang truck? This company never can. It's always a disaster.

I did learn that when holding a stack of flats vertical against the side of the truck, and the guys are sliding in a new one for the front of the stack, I need to move quicker than I did last night. Luckily the piece of scenery wasn't very heavy, and not moving all that quickly.

Gah. This next week will be busy but at least I know it won't be this crazy.

Best of luck, GC. I'll be praying for you. I hope all gets settled very soon. It would break my heart not to see Darlene Love's annual Christmas appearance on Letterman. I haven't missed that particular episode for 10 years.
