We're having tacquitos tomorrow night! :D

What the heck is a tacquito? They're called taquitos people (no 'c')!!!



The first time Susan made taquitos, Grandma (from Mexico) had taught her how to make them, except not enough information was given about how much meat to start with. I made not one but TWO store trips to pick up more corn tortillas, wiping out the supply at both stores (you can let good meat go to waste, so the only solution was more tortillas for more taquitos).

I think she made about 500 taquitos that day.

So about half an hour ago, Alex got up (without saying anything about it), turned on the oven, prepped a cookie sheet, and BROUGHT ME A SPOONFUL OF COOKIE DOUGH without me asking for it.

How awesome was that?

That's pretty awesome, I must say.

Cosmos is here! He's having naptime in a dark spot so I don't have a photo yet. (Black cat in black bookcase.) So, now the family is compled: Yuri, Sputnik (Niki for short), and Cosmos (Cosi for short).

Did I miss the explanation for the adorable Russki names? Other than Boris' precedent, that is. (Seriously, they make great pet names.)

I love the kittehs! I wish they didn't hinder my ability to breathe so much :(
