Hey Bob,

There has been a stream of negativity in another thread about another music event. Sometimes it seems that an overall tone of negativity abounds the LoT these days.

Hopefully it will pass soon. And please don't jump naked into a pile of thumbtacks. Those are much harder than pushpins to get out :P

Yeah, so I'm getting a 2nd job for the holidays. Thinking of going to the mouse.

I wish imagineering or the studios had weekend jobs.

I had a fun evening playing board games with friends. We should have a board game discussion and rating thread. I wish I lived closer to other board game-playing types.

I miss playing games. Nickolas loves to play, but it isn't the same as playing with adults.

It is flippin' cold this morning. I had to get out the space heater for the bathroom so that I can take a shower.

I had a good weekend. I was able to catch up on a lot of sleep. Today I have 2 prospective jobs to visit. The one I want is this morning at 9:30. Depending on how the interview goes, I could start as early as today, which would be great. Neither place pays as much as I would like, but at least it would be something more than I am making at this moment (which is nothing). Both are close to the house, which is nice. I like only having to drive 5-10 minutes to get to work. The one this morning means reuniting with a former co-worker and good friend.

It is hard not to get my hopes up...

Sometimes I consider getting a part time holiday job- then I realize I am not willing to give up the time I have outside of the job I have had for almost 8 years......and I also realize that OT is unlimited and I make more doing OT than a part time job would pay anyway.

Yeah- that's the ticket. :)

Board games are awesome. So is cards!

Whenever anyone on my mom's side of the family gets together card games are a must-play (There has to be something else to do other than drink beer...We sure go through a lot of it!) at the reunions! There's a game called Tripoly that we always play. It's very fun! I guess you could call it a board game as well cause there is a board (usually in the form of a mat) used to play the game. If we're not playing that it is poker, rummy, or cribbage (Grandpa's favorite game may he continue to rest in peace).

Good luck MG on the job you want! Fingers and toes crossed for a good interview!

Good luck on that Morrigoon! I moonlighted for years, now I wonder how I did that, I was working the kind of hours Kevy does now.

I'd work for the mouse on the weekends if I hade the energy. I work at home all weekend now, since my wife can't do much houshold work any more. And now that I'm getting close to 50, I just can't handle the hours any more like I use to.

Perhaps when I retire I can work there. I'd be a sweeper if I could. :D

If I lived closer, I'm with you, I'd so work for the mouse, and I'd sweep, too!
Anything but a churro cart!
