visible mojo to ya GD, since I'm prevented otherwise.

To bring this back OT, I'm pretty jazzed today, too!

Today I had the most Dilbert/Office Space experience in my 10 year existence within the corporate world.

I don't know if it makes it better or worse that everybody involved knows just how stupid it was and that it had to be done anyway (SOX compliance can kiss my ass until such time as it is fixed to focus on things that actually protect markets and investors).

I could be annoyed but, since it is unlikely to recur, I am actually pretty amused and pleased to have been involved with such perfect (and therefore beautiful in its way) inanity.

Pru, that's awesome. Especially consideringn the disappointments you've expressed in seeking a cleakship. I really hope this pans out. You deserve something special for your talent and hard work towards a legal (or legal-esque) carreer.

This Annie Lennox video makes me totally happy. I don't know why. I think she looks great in it and there's a message and all that.
:)

One of my pet peeves of my workplace is the absurd amount of things justified by "SOx compliance" - No where in SOx is an IT help desk required to keep screen prints of every reported problem, and nowhere does it say you have to keep these permanently - Oh and surprise, there are regulations far more restrictive than SOx that have been around longer than SOx - bah! the next executive briefing I'm going to have everyone fitted for Orange jumpsuits.

Sorry - I'll come back when I have something happy

The rough draft of my huge paper is done 3 days early! YAY!

Ok, who resurected this depressing thread?

:D ;)

They added a turn arrow to the light on Magnolia - now I no longer get backed up on my way to work trying to get to the freeway - yea!

I am, with great caution, very happy to have booked a flight and hotel for Disney World for my birthday. As with the last 2 years I've spent my birthday in the company of friends at Goofy's Kitchen but the opportunity has come up and I will spend #38 in the Magic Kingdom blubbering like a little bitch. ;)

I think I used that light when I left your house today. Oh, and thanks for the bricks!
