It's done!! Installed and tested. I had the fire extinguisher by my side the first time I flipped the switch because...well just because.

But it works! And it's quieter! And it vents air!!

I had to take the cover and light back off to patch the ceiling, once that's dry I'll be 100% done (anyone know how long joint compound takes to dry?). One more trek into the attic to retrieve tools. My squattin' muscles will be very relieved.

My experience is limited but the general rule of thumb for anything you need to let dry is:

20 minutes longer than you give it.

Oh and I forgot to add that closet demo is done also! I feared it might be an all day job, but a few whacks with a mallet and a couple yanks with a pry bar and voila. I might even be able to start building today.

But I'll need more beer for that.
