I've always been amused at how those beautiful curving escalators suddenly change to straight ones when you get up to Nordstroms' levels.

Is the one at Wynn of changing curve angles? That would be niftier.

No, same degree of curve the whole way. I figured it wasn't the first of its kind, but it was the first I'd seen. And some cursory research shows that they're still pretty rare. The whole presentation is great because it's set up to look like your standard grand stairway entrance, with a curved staircase going up either side...but they're escalators.

Heh, having just returned from Chicago and New York where we visited the 94th, 103rd, and 86th floors of the Hancock, Sears Tower, and Empire State respectively, 60 was kinda pedestrian (though the wall-o-glass that ran the length of the suite was quite picturesque).

I don't like glass elevators -

Oh, and I recommend against staying at the Luxor. Only because Carrot Top is headlining there and his face is EVERYWHERE. Horrifying.

It's Thanksgiving week and I'm supposed to be crazy busy. I'm not. It's very refreshing! I almost feel like I have a normal job!

I have the bulk of the day off on Thursday (well, from about 10 until about 6) and we have no plans! I'm not quite sure what I'm going to do with myself.

Today is also not busy. Only one hour of work for the entire day! What's happening? Am I in bizzaro pet sitter world?

already stayed there once (and loved it) but the rule is to try something/somewhere new every time I go...and uberdork CT being there...not sure I even want to be in the same city.

thanks for the warning

I'm totally addicted to edamame now. They have a large bag in the freezer section at Costco for $5, and you just pull out a handful and let them thaw before eating. Right now, I'm sitting here, popping some out so I can season and eat them. Too yummy.
