Well our crappy local Home Depot didn't have any other metal cutting option for a circ saw, so abrasive wheel it was. The pipes (closet rod, actually) are only 1/16" thick, so I figured it'd be fine. And it was! Once I got over my initial terror at being showered with sparks, it cut through no problem. Fun!!!

And other than some minor redesigns due to bizarre wall stud spacing, necessitating a couple extra Home Depot runs, the closet build went totally smoothly. Got it about 99% done today.

Friday the 13th seems to have changed my home improvement luck.

And I hope to NEVER see the inside of our attic again.

So far GD's replaced a bathroom fan and rebuilt his closet.

And I can't even seem to get around to hanging curtains in my living room in the year since I bought them.

I feel shame.

Today I removed wall paper and painted the master bedroom. I also replaced the blinds on the three windows and hung some shelves. The new bed and furniture will be here Friday. I love making new rooms out of old....

You can test that theory in four weeks.

Today we went to breakfast at the Silver Dollar Pancake House in Corona. It made the best breakfast list in Inland Empire Magazine and was also featured in IE Weekly.

I found 2 new pairs of shoes for work - which is great because I was down to one brown pair and that just doesn't work. Target was next door so I picked up some of their white chocolate, blood orange and cinnamon. I'm not usually a white chocolate person but I was intrigued by it a few months ago and tried it. I've wanted to try it again ever since.

AND I bought myself some Tim Tams to try as well. :) Chocolate flavor. Yay!

Came home and colored my hair. Went lighter then originally planned on my daughter's advice and was nervous about it but it turned out great. Close to my normal color and covered the greys.

Now... what to make for dinner?
