Who is Rachel Ray? ;)

Actually, I get her and that English cook with the interesting first name mixed up.

Dramarama.
Someone in my office made a big to-do about being sick and how she needed to go home for the day. Total Oscar performance. Brava.
I was all like, "Just go. We know you're making this sh!t up."
lol
:D

Tell me! I almost did not buy Triscuits this morning because she is plastered all over the boxes.

Yay on the possible exciting job prospect! :snap:

I have to drive past a Dunkin' Donuts billboard with Rachael Ray hawking gift cards every morning on my way to work.

OOOH! Yaya for Job Prospect!

Gemini Cricket 11-27-2007 11:57 AM

Rachel Ray has a scary mouth.
Kind of Joker-esque....
:D

Ghoulish Delight 11-27-2007 11:57 AM

I wouldn't want to disappoint....

I can think of a few...

she's just someone with a great idea (saving time with 30-minute meals), who helps women feel like they can "do it, too." And yeah, I'm really sick of seeing her face plastered everywhere...
I might agree with all that, but the one time I tried to use one of her cookbooks it was so poorly written as to make the recipes nigh impossible to decipher. I'm talking basic grammar errors that left the instructions entirely ambiguous (not in a, "leave it up to your culinary creativity" sort of way, in a, "What the fvck does she want me to do!?!?" way).

That combined with the absurd onslaught of over-marketing were enough to sour me on her forever.

Hooray (even if it does make more real the reality that you're leaving us)!!!

Dammit. I need to run a couple errands, but I have to wait for DHL to arrive. :(

Snowflake 11-27-2007 12:23 PM

Yay! I just found the local Peet's! Not far from the office, either.

blueerica 11-27-2007 01:45 PM

I should see if I can scare up some free drinks for you up there... Especially since I'll be seeing you soon...
