So I may not have gotten into spring cleaning, or spring remodeling projects, but today I did accomplish some spring planting, and I'm quite pleased.

The front door side of my front yard has been looking rather barren and I wanted to get a rose to balance out the one on the other side. I wanted to add other stuff, but couldn't place anything else till I put the rose in. So since roses were 50% off, I finally got my rose :) And since the rose was going in, I could finally plant other stuff.

I wanted something fragrant, I was originally thinking jasmine, but haven't seen it in a while and the gardenia was also 50% off, so got that and some lavender.

I also had a basil plant that's been sitting around a while waiting to get planted, so that went in the ground today as well.

It's a bit messy but you get the idea of where it's going. I think a few weeks of growth will help it show better.

Matt Likes Roses... :D

and you'll probably need another couple strawberries to provide the full punnet-load ;)

Strawberries are only good dipped in chocolate. :)

I made chocolate dipped strawberries this weekend, I should go finish them off. Thanks for reminding me.

What is that strange color prevalent in your photo? I can't seem to remember what it's called.
