Soooo....
The con law final sucked so hard I don't even have words to describe it. Yea, verily, it sucketh. Suckethed? Ish. 130 True/False statements that tested my recall of trivial minutia mentioned in passing.           One more left - damn admin take-home final. I want to finish it Thursday evening so I can drop it off Friday morning and celebrate my birthday with a nap. |
Sooo.......
We have a New Years Eve party that came to an end aroud 9:00 PM yesterday and I climb into bed at 11:00 delighting in the fact that I can sleep in as Today is a holiday for me.... And I get up at 5:00 AM! Despite my best efforts to go back to sleep, I'm out of bed by 6:00, sipping coffee wodering if this afternoon I'll be taking a nap. No doubt, I will have a hard time getting up for work tommorrow. |
So it's January 2nd - and I'm already getting spam trying to sell me stuff for Valentine's Day...
|
We woke up around 11:30 this morning. Thankfully the cats let us sleep.
|
Woo hoo, 12 hours of sleep! :D :D :D Slept until 11pm so sleep tonight may be tough, but I don't care.
It absolutely poured today as we watched the Rose Parade on DVR. I think I'll go make some tea. I can't believe I go back to my normal work schedule tomorrow. Ah well, today is a nice relaxing wind-down. |
Wow, she's slept so much that she's sleeping into the future!
|
So, I did get to take a nap today - it was good, actually it's been a great lazy day so far - I think this really needs to be a 2-day Holiday.

Where are my house elves and why haven't they done the dishes?

So I'm typing a report on Excel today and I accidentally hit paste. Guess what I pasted onto the report?
"You must spread some Mojo around before giving it to Cadaverous Pallor again." See what happens when you LoT at work? :D |
Soooo...
After a morning of actually working and going to meetings, I get to my cubical at about 11 and see my voicemail light blinking at me. The office at our apartment complex had called at 9 saying they needed permission to enter our apartment. That can't be good. I call back and it turns out our downstairs neighbors are getting a water leak and they think it might be coming from our apartment. So of course I give them permission to go in. I also snuck out at 11:30 for an early lunch so I could get home and take a look for myself. Well, by the time I get there (now nearly 3 hours after the office originally called me), it seems as if no one's come by. They always lock the deadbolt and leave a note when they do, neither had been done and nothing in the apartment looked touched. Meanwhile, the good news is that there were no visible signs of problems in our apartment. I was afraid I'd come home to find that the shower faucet had burst and flooded a whole room or something. Of course, that probably means there's a busted pipe in the wall or something and it's going to require them to tear into the walls and drive us nuts for weeks on end. But thank God none of my stuff is wet! |
