I've never heard of such a thing, and I grew up here. The Nacho Cheese IS standard, has been since I was a kid at least.

Same here but a quick look at the product finder at Frito-Lay tells me the toasted corn variety are available at some shops in SF.

Toasted corn is the original.

Maybe it's because I'm older, but I remember the toasted corn original.

And boring. It's just corn chips. Great for dip, though.

I bought a bag of the retro "Oringinal Flavor" Doritos Taco Chips, and found them bland. It's amazing how we have gotten so use to stronger and stronger flavors over the years.

I miss Bell Brand corn chips. They were the best.

Is there a difference between "corn chips" and "tortilla chips?"
