Once again, the best show on television does not disappoint.

And the last portion of the preview for next week.....listen closely.

Rest in spoiler tags for the benefit of the Tivo crowd who may not have viewed it yet -

Spoiler:
OK - the monster is seriously cool. Now that I've seen it, I surely want to know more about it. Was it communicating with Eko? It seemed as if it was flashing something at him, but it went by way to fast to make much of it.

Loved Eko's backstory.

The others in the preview...."this is our island". Eerily cool.

The writing is simply the best on television.

Spoiler:
Finally an episode that I had not one complaint about. I loved it from start to finish. Eko may be the best character on the show. Amazing. Even Charlie didn't piss me off until the v. end. Damn Heroin Marys.

The continuity...the plane...Eko's brother. Just, YES!

Ana-Lucia not saying anything, and being really touched when Jin brings his wife over to meet her. Lovely. Hurley helping Blondie with her tent. Lovely.

Sawyer and Kate funnies. Nice way to break up the darker story arc.

Redemption seems key to why the Losters are on the island, but how the island "selects" people remains to be seen.

"This is our island."

I hope we get a better view of the Others. We've only really seen the creepy boat people. Ah, that preview was a tease.

Spoiler:
Even in slow-mo, the only thing I could make out in the black blob was a millisecond flash of a woman or girl. But completely unrecognizeable. Definitely nothing more to gleen from that than the fact that there were definitely images, none of them anywhere near clear enough to make sense of.

And it's a good thing I was 3/4 done with my drink by the time that scene rolled around. I jumped at the first explosion, woulda had Kamikazee all over me and/or the couch if the glass were full!

So where did "Walt" tell Michael to come to meet him (if that info was in next week's preview, don't tell me)?

One of my friends in Boston is totally hooked on this show. I have not seen a single episode of this show. I haven't read a lick of this thread. I simply must know what this show and this thread is about. I'm putting 'Lost' into my Netflix queue.

There! Happy? Huh?

:D

Spoiler:
No idea. But I bet it wasn't, "You must come right into our evil trap, Dad. xoxox Love, Walt!"

Spoiler:
I went to a site (if anyone would like a link, let me know) where someone got Tivo screens captures of the smoke images projected around Eko. They include the man he killed as a child, his brother, the church, a couple of women that I think were in the church when he came in demanding to be ordained, and a couple others.

And GD - there was nothing in the preview about where Walt (if it is in fact Walt doing the typing) told Michael to go.

Ghoulish Delight 01-12-2006 12:35 PM

Ah, wow, that's dedication to get those screen grabs.

And yeah, that's why I put "Walt" in quotes.
