I'm not nearly as cool as everyone else who is going to some party or eating cake.. but I'll be at home going coocoobananas over homework.
One of these days I'll make it to a movie showing. ONE OF THESE DAYS /waves fist. |
We actually camped out overnight in line at the El Capitan (then the Paramount) for the opening of Times Square, because as Rocky Horror fans, we were devout Tim Curry fanatics.
We slept on the steps of the Masonic Temple next door (now the studios of the Jimmy Kimmel show) and, in the morning, someone from the Temple hosed down the steps without bothering to wake us up. Not a wise thing to do to Steve Zlick circa 1980 or so. That afternoon, after everyone from the Temple had gone home ... I found the hose, turned the water on full power, and stuck the hose through the mail slot into the Temple. Then left to enjoy the movie. Except, of course, the movie sucked. |
OK... so far, all "nays". Anyone want to vote to postpone this baby 'til the 19th?
|
I vote to postpone the month of April until such time as we aren't completely swamped. (in other words, we abstain as we are not free any time soon)
|
The 19th is passover, so we're available. ;)
The following week is Coachella. Then comes May. |
I'm free sometime in August, i think.
|
Oh crap. Thanks, NA. I guess Passover might preclude the 19th. How about a non-Saturday evening this month? Any suggestions? Anyone? Bueller?
|
We were trying to set an artist way meeting time and had a LOT of difficulty finding time in the month of April. With WenchyBeth and Company in Town, Pru in Town, Mouse Adventure, Passover, Coachella....suddenly it is May!
May at least looks a bit more promising for us....unless I go to France. |
Pfft, every month looks more promising when it's the next month.
