Yep, first time I've been jealous of those going to Coachella. It's also the closest I came to buying tickets, but my finances were too screwy when they went on sale.

And, well, yeah ..... i'm OLD.

So, anybody else going to Black Rock City this year? :)

Roger Waters is more than a decade older than you.

Though in recent years I've strongly considered a return if only to see how it has changed. But nobody I know goes any more and going without a camp definitely isn't ideal and it would be too much effort and uncertainty to try and scrounge one up.

So I think that the Burning Man segment of life is locked into the past now.

uh, big K...according to your member listing...youre not yet 10. and 10 is NOT old either

I saw plenty of supposedly old people there. I can understand "I hate sun and crowds", but don't blame it on your birthdate.

You can't blame anything on your birthday since Chris attended 3 days and i attended 2. You are only as old as you let yourself believe you are.

Hey: it's on the internet so it must be true.

Actually, I used to set my birth date as turning 100 every year. I only recently changed to be 9. I figured that was closer to how I act anyways.

(For those who care, I am 43. I think... let me check my drivers license. Yeah, 43.)

For me it was about the sun and crowds, which is what made me feel old and curmudgeonly. But to be honest, I was kinda bummed every day hearing your stories of the haps. Considering the weather, I really wished I had gone. Hopefully next year.

For all the concerts I have been to in my life (albeit, not nearly as many as NA and Funny Symbol Guy), I have never experienced a festival like Coachella.

innerSpaceman 04-29-2008 06:40 PM

Oh, sheesh, it was a joke. I'm the youngest 47-year-old on the planet. I'm really sorry I didn't go, because I was never so much on the fence when tickets went on sale as I was this year.

It wasn't the ticket price that dissuaded me, but the added expense of lodging in the vicinity.

And I'm not jealous of anyone either, but rather envious. I'm glad my friends had such a good time at something I would have enjoyed ... because that's the next best thing in my book to me enjoying it myself.

Eh, chock it up to Decision No. 3,456,812 that could have been better.

Oi, I missed Coachella and it was great. I love my set of problems!!!!
