Long story short, the readers of Consumerist tracked the guy down and he was shamed into returning it. During the "hunt" they came up with some creative and hilarious riffs of the insult "douchbag". Some of these have me literally LOL. My favorites so far:

Douchcanoe
King Douchenozzle Von Crunk

heehee

That was pretty entertaining. The power of the internet! douchemeister maxx ! heh heh.

I finally realized what was bugging me. Somewhere in the back of my mind there was something significant about February 17th, but damned if I could figure out what.

...It was supposed to be digital transition day!

Okay, not really *that* significant since most of us are already digital or using cable, but that's why the date had been repeatedly drummed into my head as being "something". Now I can relax.

You were probably thinking of Random Acts of Kindness Day.

That would explain why I feel so bitchy.

The creator of RAofKD was a professor from Cal State Bakersfield. He was later hit by a car when going down the bluffs and killed.

Soooo...

About 10 years ago, my condo was sacked. The miscreants made off with ALL my music, all my electronics... they even took my espresso machine and microwave. Bastards... kicked my cat (Boomer, what a sweetie!), generally turned the place upside down.

So one day I've got over 300 CDs, the next maybe 8 or 9 that apparantly slid off the top of the last box as they were carrying them out the door. Put me off music for a while, it did. Sorta took the starch out of the whole thing for me.

Fast forward, I've replaced some, added a lot of others... some I couldn't get any more. One in particular I've been wanting hard... dada, Puzzle... but it's out of print. I've been loathe to purchase it at its current high price (see LoT username).

Today, I hold said ridiculously overpriced CD in my hot little hands with a smile on my face.

I just thought I remembered how much I enjoyed it.

Scrooge = happy man

Funny, but the only song on here I never really liked is Dizz Knee Land.

I notice they're in concert tomorrow night at House of Blues in West Hollywood. How much would I love to see that?

What? Did you see me on Expedia or something? (I'm getting the CA itch again BAD) Sadly, that will have to wait. Next month, I fulfill a dream. I will have taken all my best friends to Disney. I'm taking my oldest girlfriend and her foster child to WDW March 14th. Spring Break... Sheesh! Wish me luck.
