I hate wind. I don't mind so much being out in it, but when I'm inside, especially when I'm trying to sleep, the kind of wind we started having over night here makes me irrationally uneasy. Bleh.

I have a tree right against my bedroom window. I wasn't so sure it was going to withstand the gusts last night.

That was crazy!

We have snow! And yummy food! And toys to play with!

And what was really interesting - today my sister-in-law said she can't remember the last time she saw Ryan and I being so "jolly". Apparently graduation agrees with me.

Our umbrella blew over in the night and landed against our sliding glass door. But miraculously didn't break it.

Today went well. I picked up Nick at 8am. I got to piss off Dawn, which was a wonderful present.

We had a nice breakfast with The Old People. My sister was a bit hurt that Nick didn't show much enthusiasm with his main present from her...a Bible, engraved with his name.

We got home with plenty of time for him to open his presents from me. "I knew you got me a Wii!!!!"

He was picked up at 3, to go to his other grandparents. When he got home at 6 he asked me to try connecting the Wii. In the middle of it one of my sisters-in-law stopped by. We had a nice visit.

Boy is now trying to play Thrillville.

It's windy here but not as bad as last night thank goodness even though we were at my parents which wasn't as windy go figure and they are in the high desert...i moved to get away from the wind not have it worse where i live now..It's died down since we arrived back home and hopefully will continue to do so. I sleep well when it's windy outside....

Yeah, it's a little early in the career for a gavel, but it amuses me. And I can use it to sentence Ryan to taking out the garbage.

Plus, it meant that at some point during lunch I got to say: "I can't wait to get home and play with my gavel!" - which nearly caused Ryan to spit out his water.
