I have to get 3 dog walk out of the way before it starts raining, so wait a bit, OK.

Meanwhile, I'm glad I was home. The Verizon guy is here running lines to the house for our FIOS (which gets installed on the 14th).

Looked like a downdraft wind might have hit earlier, but still no rain. Meh.

To be fair, it did make a weak attempt at beginning to rain last night as I returned home from Flashback rehearsals. After about 10 drops it decided to call it a night. We'll see if the rain manages to rouse itself from its hangover some time this afternoon to become an actual, functioning storm.

I have embarrassing memories of the phone company.

I was once on the phone with an out-of-state boyfriend, and totally forgot that I was having a second line installed (that only required them to work on it outside).

Well, the conversation was um, rather steamy, and after we hung up, the phone guy knocked on the door. I asked if he was there to service the line, and he said he just did, and that he had checked both lines to make sure they were working.

The man was bright red and nearly stumbled while talking.

I have gigs on Saturday and Sunday evening. Expect the rain to friggin pour around that time.

Well, I answered the door in gnome pajamas. The guy couldn't surpress his laugh.

raining cats & dogs here and the wind is f-i-e-r-c-e. No power at my office, so I got the day off.

Still cloudy with the occasional gust and otherwise barely a breeze here. A bit darker than earlier, maybe some ACTUAL rain clouds are finally overhead.

Ground still dry.

It is blowing dirt (not dust, but dirt). The temp seems to be dropping, but still no rain.


Oh, and on a side note...a certain mad texter messaged me about a conversation he overheard this morning. It looks like he will be getting another sibling in the months to come.

It's dark and cloudy here in GG. No rain yet, but the wind is blowing hard.

My mom in Northern CA was without power for a while last night. She said she'd never seen winds like that. She had a large metal pipe that was holding down the plastic over her wood pile and it ended up in the street (which is pretty far). She's got power now but its pouring rain.

My cousin in Livermore just lost half her back fence. She thought the roof might blow off.
