I think on the plus side, this means that they make it themselves, which is more than one could say for a LOT of restaurants these days.

Several years ago, Denny's won the Pismo Beach Clam Festival Clam Chowder Cook Off. Pissed and embarrassed a lot of the local restaurants.

Actually, not a lot of potato in it - just a lot of creamy soup.

Whereas Souplantation's clam chowder is more like potato strips with a white watery cream sauce.
