I hear through the grapevine, that a certain someone who told me that y'all took a group shot while I was waiting to take pictures of Captain Jack Sparrow might have been fibbing?

Was he waiting to see if I believed him? I did.
To you I say... Bah! ;)

You offend my honor! There most certainly was a group photo taken.

Hey, I did NOT name names, O possibly honor offended one. Where is said pic?
I believe on stairs?

Okay, I'm sorry, You are correct. The photographer didnt mention that when I told him he should have been in line to see Capt Jack Sparrow with us.
I retract my BAH! to the always truthfull entitiy that was NOT named as GD.
I will now go admonish my source for convincing me that GD was messin with my mind.

Photo highlights (28 pics, so far) from the July 9, 2006 meet have been posted at www.disneydaniel.com and titled: Lounge of Tomorrow Meet - July 9, 2006.
More photos will be uploaded in the near future. Enjoy! Here are a few pics to get you started.

After executing experienced, LoT loading of a boat, we sunk Pirates prior to the first drop.

We took a partial-group photo using the stairs of the Disney Gallery. After lunch, as with any large gathering, people started heading in different directions--and it's hard to keep track of where everyone goes--so apologies to those who were not present when this photo was taken.

LoT guests of honor for the day's meet: Scrooge McSam, SacTown Chronic and Crystal await the fireworks.

After the fireworks, we headed to Space Mountain for a special experience of the ride, thanks to glasses provided by innerSpaceman and zapppop. I was only able to take three Space photos, since the picture-viewing area is crowded--and the pictures change/disappear quickly from the monitors, as well.

According to today's Al's Update, there have been dozens upon dozens of boats stuck at the lip of the first drop (and many at the second as well). Bah, our LoT sinking method is no longer unique ... and some of us (*cough*CP*cough*) can stop feeling bad about holding up the ride. It's been happening several times per day ... and without the, ahem, front loading we do with troublemaker intent.

In fact, far from fixing the problem we so emphatically and scientifically pointed out the day Pirates closed ... they have done the exact opposite of fixing the flume in that area. According to Al, they have installed new braking systems, gate controls, and water flow restrictions at the top of the drop ... and have been paying a severe price for that retarded decision. Al reports that they have taken to having a maintenance guy stationed in the darkness at that point in the ride (think Splash Mountain final lift) to be ready to push boats at a moment's notice.

No such person was stationed there on Sunday. In fact, if this has been going on with any regularity since the ride reopened, I am surprised at the unpreparedness displayed by the CMs. Far from getting a Kyle, we were treated to CMs who probably haven't been at their posts for more than a month. But, if the boats really are stopping at the drop several times a day, the CMs we encountered must have been hired that very morning.
