CP - I think Tom switched guns on him and gave him a gun without a firing pin.

sleepyjeff - The timeline definitely seems screwy. That was bugging me throughout the episode. It just seems like the writers tried to cram too much into too little time. Unless this is some strange island time vs real time phenomenon.

Given how people get unstuck in time (Slaughterhouse 5 effect, of which the Lost - and old Buffy - writers are hugely fond), I'd say the chronology can't be trusted, and can be messed with. There was that interesting picture frame mention, in the house where Miles performed the "exorcism." Hmm, ponder, hmm.

Worse than "cram too much"........

Think about it this way:

When Micheal was watching the News(same as Frank and Daniel) they said it was the wreckage of a flight that crashed two months ago.

That means it was day 60(give or take) on the island.

Which means Micheal was watching a news cast in NYC at the exact same time as he was tied up in fakeotherville.......

With this show, who says he wasn't?

So that's 5. And obviously Erin doesn't count if they wanted us to think Jin was #6.

I caught a snippet of the "coming next week" after the last episode, so I had guessed that Michael would make an appearance (all I heard was, "Someone you never expected to see"). I didn't even think to make the "Ben's man on the boat" connection. I gotta assume he's staying in character, not that he's actually forgotten.

This episode aired just last night.

I hate how delayed we are in getting this show. It sux bad.

I think Jin's still on the Island.

Oh, and nice to see Grant Bowler in a role on Lost !!! He was great as the series host for The Mole !!

And now it will be back again next week! At least here in the States (sorry Lash).

I am so excited that I have found a feed online to watch past episodes! Wee! I'm up to the end of The Constant, so I should be caught up this weekend, and I can finally read this thread again.

Did Lost keep getting all pixelated for anyone else, or was it just me? I couldn't tell if it was my (brand new) DVR, the original broadcast, or bad satellite reception on my end.

Anyway, that was one crazy episode. A few weeks ago someone on the Lost Podcast (with Jay and Jack) came up with the theory that Ben and Widmore are playing a rich man's game of cat and mouse. After last night's episode and Ben's comments about "he changed the rules" that theory has even more weight.

It's just you.

And holy cow. I need to watch it again. That was the best episode in a very, very, very long time.

SzczerbiakManiac 04-25-2008 10:19 AM

Just you Pirate Bill.

Yeah, that was a frelling intense episode! Has there been a higher body count since the pilot?
Did Ben really control Smokey?
What are these "rules" that Whitmore changed?

scaeagles 04-25-2008 10:52 AM

Boo-freakin-ya, Lost is back with a vengence.
