Safe travels.

How long is the flight to Honolulu?

Bornieo: Fully Loaded 12-02-2008 11:32 PM

So, I spent the last few hours with Brad before I took him to the airport. I Picket him up at his Swanky Burbank home for a quick meal at IN&Out, which, apparently, is not available on the Island. :(

With a quick stop at the comic shop to pick up some reading material before I knew it we were at LAX and I was unloading GC and his crap. A fond "farewell" and he dissapeared into the terminal.

While driving away I thought for sure that the LoT Folk would've devised some plan to kidnap GC and keep him in CA. But with the amount of baggage he had with him, it would have been a real tough one.

It is not goodbye, though, but Aloha! which means "Until we meet again."

He's safe and sound in HI.

He may be safe, but is he sound? (Are any of us?)

I don't hear him.

Glad to hear he made it and all is well.

Thanks for the well wishes, y'all. I appreciate them greatly.

Well, I'm here in Hawai'i.

My flight was mellow. But I almost killed the guy sitting next to me. At every opportunity, he made some sort of noise or muttered to himself. It was quite annoying. He moved around a lot too. It was like sitting next to a tuna that was recently pulled from the ocean and placed on the seat to my left. The funniest bit was when he stood up as the plane was landing to look under people's seats for his lost shoe. The flight attendants made him sit. Then after we landed and were taxiing, he fell into the aisle as he tried to tie the laces of his recently recovered shoe.

After a late dinner at Zippy's with the parents, I met up with my little sis and had a couple of glasses of wine with her. She showed me her badge and gun. Oy. She's a cop for crying out loud. It's surreal.

The weather is supposed to be 83 degrees F later today.

I'm going to visit my grandma around lunch time. She seems to be hanging on and has started to eat on her own again. First time in about a year or so.

It took my mum exactly 1 hour before she started her preaching. Politely and firmly, I explained to her why I was not interested in Catholicism and would not like to discuss faith with her further. She said okay. We'll see how long that lasts. I vow to bite my tongue and not get into any heated debates with her further. We'll see how long that lasts.

A big Mahalo to our Bornieo for taking me to the airport. I'm halfway through the "Watchmen" graphic novel. I like it so far. It's severely lacking in comic relief though. I'm curious to see how they're going to do some of the effects in the film version.

Anyway, all is well so far. Like Gn2Dlnd does at the park, I'm going to make my rounds of the island and see what has changed.

Ttyl.

Brad

:)
