Yes get gas in Oakhurt on your way in, especially if you have a larger vehicle

We are bringing along a large iron skillet.

I don't know of any internet access but you never know what you can find. Just don't count on it.

Oi, was that K really leaving Vegas at 8:42! He's got to drive all the way to L.A. and just then begin the didididid. Something tells me we're getting a late start tomorrow. ;)

Hey, Kevy - the Yosemite Lodge in the Valley offers Wi-Fi service for a flat daily rate of $9.95. They also have two internet kiosks available for 25-cents per minute. Be sure to add that to an expense report, if you end up needing it.

I certainly hope Kevy's avatar is not coming with him to Yosemite.

So, if Kevy springs for daily access and claims it on the expense report, others may get to use it too, perhaps...

;)

Oooh, I'm so jealous! Have a terrifically swanky time, everyone!

innerSpaceman 04-11-2009 11:22 AM

I guess we'll finally be hitting the road around noon. Heheh.

Anyways, since K and I are not officially on the meal plan, having been berthed too late, we are providing The Bar (though my offer for Ahwahnee Lunch stands as well). We have most kinds of alcohol known to man. Except gin and scotch, so if them's your poison, please BYO.

We have a plethora of mixers, but no garnishes. So if you need olives for your martinis or must have a swirly slice of lime on the rim of your Tasty Beverage, again - please BYO.

Otherwise, see you all there ... W00t! Cabin Swanking! Will we each taste like the link says we will when snowbound insantiy causes us to go all cannibal on each other?!?

It'll never come to that. With the amount of bacon I suspect will be brought, we'll be able to eat for a month!

Well, we sent the Lashpair off on a plane this morning (had to get up at an ungodly hour) and we are now packing up. We have extra liquor to add to the bar- despite doing our level best to consume it all the other night, there is still a fair amount left over. (Including some gin). We'll pick up mixers and garnish stuff before we hit Yosemite. I'm bringing along an electric griddle- is there anything else needed along that line? Also, what about coffee makers? I am having a recurring nightmare about getting snowbound without coffee.

JWBear 04-11-2009 01:16 PM

I have a batch of shortbread in the oven, and cookie dough chilling in the fridge for baking later this afternoon. (I just hope they last until we get to the cabin on Monday!)

Oh, I was melting the chocolate for the cookies earlier and Bill was making nummy noises. Now he's playing the soundtrack for Chocolat. :D
