You aren't missing all that much. And Val HATES that he was in that movie.

That was a really bizarre movie. Granted, the subject matter wasn't exactly mainstream, but still...

I've lost 1.1 kg in the last week. Gotta love that Xenical. :D

It's fluff. If it comes on it is something to have on in the background, and the flying sequences are pretty good, but otherwise, :meh:

My parents used to use the opening sequence to show off their surround sound. Which is fine, except that they used to do that near the end of a party, and my bedroom was right over the family room.

Jim Morrison was too much of an asshole for me to think Kilmer was hot in that.

If you didn't cry when Goose died, you are not human.

JWBear 01-08-2008 06:08 PM

If you didn't see his death coming a mile away, you weren't paying attention.

Strangler Lewis 01-08-2008 06:13 PM

Yeah, Goose had "dead best friend" written all over him. I was moved, however, when Meg Ryan said "Take me to bed, Goose, or lose me forever."

"Top Gun" is worth seeing as a cultural artifact, but not much else. Seeing it always confirms me in my view that Tom Cruise is a really good actor--but has zero wattage as a hunk.

But didn't he LOOK good in the (homo erotic) volleyball scene?
