I was torn, believe me. Next time! I also need to check out Trader Joe's next week to see if there are any yummy varieties to choose from there.

I don't know if it is generally available in stores but we stopped by Tillamook Cheese Factory over Christmas and they had a black pepper cheddar that was really so very good.

I had to veer off since I can't figure out why anybody would eat almonds recreationally regardless of what is put on them.

Recreational almond eating... nice.

So, uh... What hobbies do you have? Oh, I eat almonds.

I'm a fan of almonds, but not nearly as much as I am a fan of cheese. I didn't see any Tillamook black pepper cheddar in the stores, and would have picked some up if I had. That sounds fantastic.

We went to the Blue Diamond plant in 8th grade for a field trip. Everyone ate a zillion of them. The 6 hour bus ride home wasn't fun.

Back on the snow tip: Another textbook of mine sold on Amazon, so in order to get it to Georgia by Monday/Tuesday, I decided it was best to go to the post office today, and not wait for J to come home to dig me out of the 2-3 feet of snow behind my car. (It got plowed into my car... grr!) Took me around 40 minutes this time, which I consider an achievement given how this was so much worse than it was the last time. I ended up needing help on the last push since there was so much ice from the melted snow/ice from the last snowfall.

I am getting all-weather tires for next season.

Bears, go fig! ;) Many of the "hot guys" pics you've posted totally turn me off....each to his own, which means me to my Johnny Depp. :snap:

So. At work today I was told that my job is being shifted from circulation to the admin dept. I'll be doing an amalgam of jobs, including handling the Welcome Desk scheduling and procedure, community room reservations, including all the tech stuff that needs to be set up for people that come in to use it, and some small tech stuff for the tech dept who's losing one of the FOUR people that do ALL the tech stuff for our building.

So yeah, I'm now a little dutch boy set to stick my finger in the dike. These are new tasks for our new building that have overwhelmed staff in other depts. I'll also be an assistant to our Director, Manager, and Admin Assistant for all kinds of data wrangling etc. Guess I shouldn't have done so well on those Excel doc assignments 2 years ago.

I'm trying to see the upside, that this will be new and exciting and different, that I'll be learning new things and in on the Admin stuff, but it's still a blow. I'm losing all the comfort I have in the dept I know, and I won't deal with the public, at least at first. I'm also losing my window with the lovely tree across the street. Cube farm for me. :(

I'm sure it'll be fine. I just have to get through the rest of today.

Well, in order of true preference:

Bacon
Cheese
Almonds

That said, I needed something to snack on (I'm stress eating) and almonds seemed to be the better option than a pound of bacon or a hunk of mozzarella with black truffles (no matter how totally delicious that is, in small doses) It is the lesser of many evils I could have reached for.

Of course, some home made cookies would be good too at this point!

India has unveiled a $2500 car. So what is the name of the company who produces it? Tata Motors.

Here in the States, when you say "Tata," it's not a car we picture! ;)
