There are lots of those sorts of local produce subscription things. I did one for awhile before law school (best eggs ever). Probably one in your area as well. Google your area and "produce subscription" or "community sponsored agriculture".

We did one some years back in SF. I was disappointed in that it was overly heavy on melons and corn smut, or huitlacoche, if you prefer. They also only gave you enough "produce for two" to get through the week if you had a crack habit.
Our neighbors have produce delivered and seem pretty happy. At least with their produce. So one of these days we might give it another shot. |

My sister belongs to a produce co-op in Tehachapi. She splits theirs with another family.
I have done absolutly nothing all weekend. Even The Boy seems to be enjoying our weekend of nothingness. I did sleep a lot. Everyone around me is sick or has been sick. I am just wondering if my sleepiness comes from fighting the crud or if I using it as a defense mechanism. |
