One of my friends has a daughter who is turning 25 in a few weeks. This very sweet girl is mentally handicapped, with a maturation and intellectual level of about 7-9 years old. She always comes to Tori's parties and has a blast, so when her mom called me to invite us to her party in February we were happy to accept the invite. Well, seems her mom (actually, she is her step mom but has raised her since she was an infant and loves her dearly) decided that she deserved to have a real Princess party, so she's going all out. She's sending a limo to everyone's homes, and then we are going to the Davenport Hotel where about 25 of us will have a dinner party. Afterwards, my friend, her daughter, Tori and myself are planning on staying the night in the Safari Tower. All the girls are to dress up as princesses (we're getting them prom-style dresses, not the Disney kind- too big now!) and will have their hair and nails done. This is going to cost a small fortune, but my friend reasoned that her daughter never got to go to a Prom and will likely never get married, so she's going to do this up as Swankily as possible. The Davenport is a gorgeous hotel that recently went through a major refurbishment- we love to eat lunch there on special occasions. This is the first time we've stayed overnight since the remodel, though. At one time, it was considered the finest hotel in the U.S., and is still way up there on the list. Tori is beyond excited.:D
